Alessandra Galiè biography
Alessandra Galiè is a Senior Social Scientist at the International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI), where she conducts research on gender in livestock value chains. Her work focuses on gender issues in the livestock value chain in Tanzania in the framework of empowerment, agricultural research for development and food security.
Before joining ILRI she worked at the International Centre for Agricultural Research in the Dry Areas (ICARDA) on gendered empowerment, seed governance and participatory plant breeding. She also worked in the NGO sector.
She received her Ph.D. from Wageningen University.
