Sven Wunder biography

Sven Wunder is Principal Scientist for the European Forest Institute’s (EFI) Mediterranean Facility. He leads EFI’s research activities on payment for environmental services and other incentives. He is also Principle Economist in the livelihood program of the Center for International Forestry Research.

Previously, he worked with Center for Development Research, Denmark, and the International Union for Conservation of Nature. His research interests include natural resource management, biodiversity conservation, deforestation and poverty, livelihoods, and climate change adaptation and mitigation.

He received his Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Copenhagen and a D.Sc. in Forestry from the Royal Veterinary and Agricultural University.
